What started as a tired, open under-house space has been completely transformed into a clean, functional, and great-looking part of the property. The homeowner wanted the base of the home to feel finished rather than exposed, and this project delivered exactly that and then some.
The original area had uneven ground, visible piles, and open framing that made the home look unfinished from every angle. It also created maintenance issues, as wind and weather would push debris underneath the house. Our team began by clearing and prepping the space, taking careful measurements to ensure every panel and post lined up perfectly along the naturally sloping terrain.
From there, we built and installed a full set of custom baseboards, crafted from treated timber and tailored to fit the unique shape and height variations of the house. The slatted design allows for ventilation while still achieving a clean, modern look. One of the standout elements of this job was the addition of custom-built access doors, created to blend seamlessly with the surrounding panels while still providing practical entry points for storage, plumbing, and future inspections. Each door was fitted with quality hardware for durability and long-term performance.
As the panels wrapped around the home, the difference was instantly noticeable. What was once an exposed under-house area became a tidy, uniform façade that ties in beautifully with the home’s upper cladding. The transformation didn’t just upgrade the appearance — it lifted the entire property, giving it a polished, intentional finish that complements the home’s coastal setting.
